Terms of Service
Last updated October 22, 2026
Draft, pending attorney review. This policy will be finalized before we accept payments. If anything here is unclear, contact us.
These terms govern your use of supplierprivacy.com and the Supplier Privacy service. Supplier Privacy is a service of VAR LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account, running an Exposure Check or buying a plan, you agree to them.
1. We are not U.S. Customs
Supplier Privacy is a private company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for U.S. Customs and Border Protection ("CBP") or any government agency. CBP alone decides whether to grant confidential treatment.
2. What the service includes
- Research into the name variants, addresses and suppliers that appear on your past shipment records
- Preparing a vessel manifest confidentiality certification for your company to review and sign
- Submitting your signed request to CBP on your behalf, under your written authorization
- Leak monitoring at the frequency of your plan, and amended filings when a missed variant appears
- Preparing and submitting renewals before your confidentiality expires, while your plan is active
- Where your plan or add-on includes it, removal requests to import-data websites
3. Your responsibilities
- Your company is the requesting party and certifies the accuracy of every request we submit for it.
- You give us complete, accurate information and tell us about new names, addresses, affiliates or suppliers.
- The person who signs is an officer or authorized employee of your company.
- You review and approve the name and supplier list before we file.
4. No guarantee of outcome
No one can guarantee that a company's identity will never be published, and CBP says so itself. We do not promise any particular result from CBP or from any import-data website. In particular:
- Confidentiality applies from approval forward. Records published earlier may stay online.
- The program covers ocean vessel manifests only, not air or truck shipments.
- Only names that exactly match a filed variant are covered.
- Removal requests to data websites are best-effort, and each site decides for itself.
What we do commit to is the process: filing every variant you approve, monitoring on schedule, and filing an amended request at no extra charge if a missed variant appears while your plan is active.
5. Fees and billing
Prices are listed on our pricing page. The setup fee is charged at checkout and covers research, filing and your first 12 months. Annual upkeep is charged automatically from month 13 (or month 25 with 2-year prepay) and each year after until you cancel. Sales tax may apply. If a payment fails, we may pause monitoring and renewals until it's resolved.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel annual upkeep at any time from your dashboard. Refunds follow our refund policy. If you cancel, we stop monitoring and won't renew; any confidentiality already granted stays in place until it expires.
7. Not legal advice
We are not a law firm and do not give legal advice. Information on this site and in our reports is general and not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost profits or business opportunities.
9. Your data
How we collect, protect and delete your information is described in our privacy policy.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll email you before it takes effect.
